Retired from Orange Post Office in 2003. Moved to North Carolina in 2011 and enjoying life
What is your favorite School Story (funny or interesting memory)?

Sixth period auto shop with Mr. McFarland. We got Jerry Searcy to bring his car into the shop. We kept trying to get him to open up the trunk so we could check the spare tire but he would not do it. We all new he had a case of beer in the trunk it was just fun to see him squirm.

What is still on your "Bucket List"?

I have not been to Europe yet but it is in the plans Update I made it to Germany three years ago. We were supposed to go back this year but corona virus spoiled that. Oh well there isalways next year.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I have spent 26 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and after being a member of the Elks for twenty years I have been elected exalted leader of the local lodge

Where have you traveled? What are your favorite destinations?

When I first retired we took a cruise to Alaska then we have taken a couple to the Caribbean. Of course I finally made it to Germany

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Now that we live on the lake in North Carolina it is fun to take the boat out for a relaxing cruise. Then work in a round of golf

Do you still talk to/hang out with any classmates? If so, who?

Still in contact with Jerry Searcy, Jack (Chief) Norris , and a few others on Facebook

Famous or interesting people you've met?

When I first came back here I met NASCAR legend Bobbie Allison at the NASCAR hall of fame. Since them I have run into him at the local Steak and Shake

We have lost another of our falcons. Jerry Searcy passed on December 3 2022. Jerry retired from the Orange Post Office and Lived in Orange until his death.
