Damn. Played BB on the 8-foot nets at Adams School playground with Terry before SAVHS and probably before hardly anyone else on this SAVHS page knew him. I was taller but Terry could dunk and I couldn't. As we went on to Smedley and SAVH, we went our separate ways as growing kids often do, though we both continued to have baseball in common. Difference was that Terry had natural abilities FAR beyond mine; Falcons will remember he signed with the Yankees after graduating in '66. I really wished he would have played MLB as he was that good. Ran into him and his dad at the racetrack, Alamitos perhaps, and he showed me the huge scar on his forearm that ended his baseball dreams. (A similar story can be told about Stan Russell, class of '67 or '68, who also signed with a pro team if I'm not mistaken... not really sure.
Terry was a great athlete. I wish our friendship would have continued through the years.
