Jim was tragically killed in a car accident due to another vehicle that ran a red light.

My memory on this may not be totally accurate but I believe that Jim was killed in an auto accident around 1972 or 73. I was playing at a place called St Jeorge and the Dragon where Jim would come in occasionally. Evidentially he had some other friends that went there. One evening the word was that Jim was killed the night before when either he or someone else ran a red light. IF I remember correctly I think it happened in Tustin but I am not sure.

Jim "Butch" was giving a friend a ride home.....another vehicle ran a red light and crashed into them. I'm still in touch with his sister Ethel Burton Walker....Butch was one of my dearest and closest friends.
