Thank you to Diane Fryer Truman for passing this information on to me.   There is a beautiful video accompanying his obituary.

I wish I had known Jim better - it looks like he had a life well lived and was loved by many.  Rest in peace, Jim.

I knew Jim from our Senior year at SAV.  Jim had a job as busboy at Manny's Coffee Shop in Orange.  Somehow our conversation got around to me looking for a job.  Jim said that their Graveyard shift diswasher had quit again and would I be interested.  I road with Jim to work that night and started up immediately.  Jim drove a new Mercury Comet and was very proud of his drive.  We both worked the same shift.  I stayed on through the school year, summer and into fall when I was able to get on at Sears part time and attend SAC.  We lost contact after that summer, but I will always remember Jim for introducing me to my 1st fulltime job.  He was quite a good fellow and all the people working there thought highly of him.  Glad to hear he lead a memorable life...Gone, but not forgotten Jim.  Rest easy my friend.
